I began leading classes for CoachInc:
Before coaching professionally:
I began my career in sales with Wang Laboratories and Oracle Corp. I then moved into sales management in software companies including start-ups such as DeltaPoint, Inc. and Bimillennium Corp. I enjoyed a successful transition into senior management roles in companies providing services to the high tech industry including contract recruiting. I also owned a successful consulting firm specializing in creating custom sales and marketing programs.
My coaching practice:
My specialty is career coaching, specifically folks who want to discover their perfect work. I have also developed a specialty in coaching people to be clutter-free. I published my first ebook to support this niche in 2007. I'm a big fan of creating multiple streams of income and have set my sights to expanding my business in this area.
My most exciting contribution to the coaching profession working with the revamp team on the Personal Foundation module. As a student and TeleClass leader I've always been a huge fan of the program, so having the opportunity to enhance and clarify the material is especially rewarding.
The most unique quality of my leadership:
As a teleclass leader I strive to make the material come to life for students. I emphasize realplays based on the actual experiences of the students. Theories and concepts are delightful, but I value knowing how to leverage specific techniques to do my job elegantly and effectively, and I think students do, too. I like to have fun, so I'm committed to keeping things light while creating a meaningful, rich experience.
What I expect from the coaches on my calls:
I expect coaches to come to the call with curiosity and eagerness. I'm not one to seek out those who are intentionally hiding, but I do like to encourage quieter folks to step up and share their wisdom and insights.
My favorite benefit from leading classes:
I thought I learned a lot about coaching as a student -- but it's nothing compared to what I've learned as a leader. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share ideas and experience, but I am doubly grateful for the coaches who are so willing to co-create in the moment.
Feedback from students:
Jennifer is a super teleclass leader. She is warm, yet practical. It is obvious that she prepares well and brings great ideas to the class. She is terrific.
