Coach U
Evolutionary Institute/Network
Certifications:
Professional Certified Coach (ICF)
Education:
Bachelor - William and Mary
I began leading classes for CoachInc:
2004
Before coaching professionally:
Prior to coaching, I had the awesome privilege and responsibility of being a stay-at-home mom until my sons reached school-age. Before that I worked as Account Manager for a communications training firm. There I had my first exposure to coaching, working regularly with my own sales coach. I've also worked in recruiting and student development.
My coaching practice:
I am in the business of transformation, helping people discover and use their gifts to improve their lives and the lives of others. I coach, train, speak, and write. My practice is an interesting mix of career changers, soul-o-preneurs, and busy professionals. I enjoy working with new coaches and others in helping professions. Contributing to their success compounds the ripple effect of good work in the world. As a Professional Mentor Coach I offer supervision.
Introduction:
I am passionate about coaching and am committed to its growth. I have co-hosted the Newcomers SIG, am active in the membership committee of my local ICF chapter, and have volunteered and presented at several coaching conferences. Additionally, I teach classes at a local college and adult learning facility for those exploring coaching.
The most unique quality of my leadership:
I can sum this up in one word, "Namaste." This translates to "The Divine within me salutes the Divine within you." I believe we all have an inner spark of spirit and I always seek to bring that forth, both in myself and others.
What I expect from the coaches on my calls:
I expect that coaches be as eager to grow themselves as to grow their businesses. I appreciate openness, active participation, and a willingness to experiment with new tools and concepts.
My favorite benefit from leading classes:
Everyone has something to offer and I love learning from and listening to different perspectives. I am energized by the coaching community and delighted to contribute to it.
Feedback from students:
Previous teleclass participants tell me that I have a calming, yet enthusiastic presence which draws people out and engages them. As an avid reader and perpetual student, I share many outside resources.
