I began leading classes for CoachInc:
Before coaching professionally:
I have 30 years experience of various personal and spiritual development approaches. Have worked with their practical application, with individuals and groups, for over 25 years. Am trained as an NLP practitioner, as a practitioner of Appreciative Inquiry (an approach to organisational coaching), and in Outcome Mapping. Have an honours degree in Mathematics and postgraduate training in Adult Education. Have also been an actor and performer and am a qualified teacher of the Alexander Technique.
My coaching practice:
I have an international practice, working by phone, with both life and executive coaching. Have worked 1-1 with senior executives and managers in a wide range of arenas. These include Banking, Media, Retail, Communications, Construction, Government Departments, the NHS, Charities, Theatre, Universities and Colleges. I prefer clients who want to connect deeply with themselves and with life and go beyond success to contribution and fulfilment. I also mentor coaches internationally.
My passion is for growing people so that they become more self-connected and personally effective. This results in greater professional and personal fulfilment and the ability to make a more meaningful contribution. I was named as one of the UK’s "Top Ten Coaches" by the Independent on Sunday and Sunday Observer.
The most unique quality of my leadership:
I place a great emphasis on authenticity and connection – with yourself, with others and with life. My intention is to create a safe and supportive environment for coaches to explore and to grow. And I like us to have fun and to enjoy ourselves in the process.
What I expect from the coaches on my calls:
To show up on time, be fully yourself and speak your truth. To be willing to explore and take risks and to support others in doing the same.
My favorite benefit from leading classes:
The connection I get with so many wonderful committed people – together with how much I personally learn from our interactions.
Feedback from students:
“Amazing facilitator - I have taken 2 of his courses so far and have had huge personal insights as well as gaining knowledge of the courses.” “Clear, concise, caring and a truly effective teacher. I feel personally empowered from this class and look forward to learning with Duncan again in the future!” “He is a natural at getting everyone "involved" and he made it a comfortable environment for sharing of ideas/thoughts.” Direct Quotes.
