I began leading classes for CoachInc:
Before coaching professionally:
I had a very successful career in music that led me to perform at venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Music taught me how to listen. It gave me a sense of awareness and insight which now enables me to support my clients in such unique and insightful ways. What I have learned in music is today invaluable in both my teaching and coaching practice.
My coaching practice:
I identify my clients not by their job title. Instead, I like to describe them as visionaries, take-charge leaders who are also thinkers and compassionate individuals ready to embrace new possibilities. I believe my clients are perfect, resourceful and capable. I am also an ICF Registered Mentor Coach, helping new coaches to polish their coaching skills, build their practices and prepare for the certification process.
I grew up in Brazil. Very early in my life I naturally chose to focus on developing the soft skills of communication, awareness and mindfulness without compromising my sense of objectivity and action. It is exciting now to see my culturally diverse background playing such a unique role in creating new and fresh perspectives to the coach approach. Today I live in NJ with my partner Christopher.
The most unique quality of my leadership:
My primary attention goes into establishing a space where the participants feel safe, energized and encouraged to explore, learn, discover, experiment, take risks and grow. In teleclasses and webinars, I like to strike a balance between delivering the material while at the same time tapping into each studentís experiences to enhance their learning. There is so much we can learn from each otherís perspectives.
What I expect from the coaches on my calls:
1. Showing up... Truly. One can only learn by being fully present and fully engaged. 2. Be a team player. When I facilitate a class, I am 100% committed to each individual student as well as the class as a whole. I hope students will come to class not only 100% fully committed to their own personal learning but also keenly aware of the benefit of group learning. Our class is our team and the more we embrace each other, the more we benefit individually.
My favorite benefit from leading classes:
Itís fascinating for me to see how coaching continues to grow into becoming an indispensable part of our culture. Every student and every insight that happens in class is yet another catalyst for transformation and human development. I feel honored to be here.
Feedback from students:
ďThank you for an outstanding class!! It was one of my favorites thus far in the program and a huge part of that is in thanks to your amazing coaching/teaching skills and overall presence. Your warmth and enthusiasm are engaging and consistent and you did such a wonderful job asking thought provoking questions and really listening to all of us deeply. Thank you for making it such an inspirational experience.Ē
